It was announced today that a new anime for the trading card game franchise Cardfight!! Vanguard is in production and CLAMP are providing the original character design concepts for it. The animation production will be done by Cinema Citress.
The anime is entitled Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress, or simply Vanguard overDress.

The anime synopsis was also announced:
The first PV has been announced as well:
According to this tweet below, the anime will air on the official Cardfight!! Vanguard YouTube Channel with English subtitles starting on April 3rd!
The new spinoff of Haken Anime! novel series: Oto to Koe no Bouken (Adventure of Sound and Voice) will begin serialization in issue nª2232 of anan (アンアン), on sale January 6 in Japan.
CLAMP are the ones in charge of the illustrations! (that was announced 2 weeks ago, in issue 2230 of anan). There goes the front and back cover:
This illustration of Mamoru as Tuxedo Mask is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I lovelove love it so much!!! 🥰🥰🥰
The two Sailor Moon Eternal movies are scheduled for January 8, 2021 (Part 1) and February 11, 2021 (Part 2), they are based on the Dream arc and serve as a direct continuation, a “fourth season”, for the Sailor Moon Crystal anime series.
I’m looking forward to them so much, even while knowing I won’t be watching them until months from now since I need to wait for them to be released on blurays/DVD 😭 But they’ve been advertising a lot, releasing magazines and articles, there are tons of merchandise and collaborations, and even the Nakayoshi got involved: in the issue released today there is a desktop calendar, and in the March issue scheduled for release February 3 they is going to be a memorial set of bookmarks of all the sailor senshis!
This news was published a few hours ago, I personally saw the tweet this morning since I am following the official account of the anime. I’ve been wondering if they’d do it or not… it was a big announcement, and you could tell they worked on many scenes already from the trailers!
But they are really making it happen, i can only wish luck to the staff remaking the episodes >.<
A shame it’s not an April release anymore considering how emblematic cherry blossom trees are in Tokyo Babylon.
And I regret not saving the trailers now hahaha I should have downloaded them as soon as they were shared online, but I think they must still be around on youtube, I will very likely find them easily 🙂
Today the Tokyo Babylon 2021 TV Anime production team has released an official statement announcing that the beginning of broadcast, which was originally scheduled for April 2021, has been postponed.
Here’s a rough translation of the statement:
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued patronage.
The [Tokyo BABYLON 2021] committee takes the issue of imitation very seriously. A compliance team was set up within the committee to reflect deeply and take strict measures. We will continue to work on further legal compliance.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to CLAMP, everyone who loves the original “Tokyo BABYLON” work, everyone who is looking forward to and supporting the TV anime “Tokyo BABYLON 2021”, and everyone involved.
We pledge to deliver entertainment that fans can enjoy…
I actually noticed Nekoi either liking or re-tweeting the cover of this book a few days ago! I thought it looked cute and even added it to my amazon japan wishlist XD I had no idea CLAMP were directly involved and that we would see both Mokonas on the obi’s book today!
There is a new Mokona=Modoki adorable little drawing printed on the obi strip, and they also commented on the book’s content!

It’s shipped and sold by Amazon Japan, but AS USUAL in this cursed 2020 year, overseas customers can’t preorder it, so, the ‘new usual’ : wait until the release date is close, which is January 7, and pray that by then they would have ‘unblocked it’ so that we can purchase it if we wish to that is. Yes, after all these months, and missing the chances to purchase one too many books this year, I’m starting to get really bitter. I’ve been their customer since 2006 or 2007, not sure, and there was NEVER any issues shipping books, EVER 😦 I, of course, contacted their customer service more than once, and their answers is ALWAYS the same: sorry, we don’t know, and the reason “is confidential”, which means nothing at all, just that they don’t know.
I wasn’t expecting that at all, I wasn’t thinking about Haken Anime right now to be totally honest, neither before ^^;; But more specifically today, my mind has been full of the new Sakura Together Forever Pinky Promise nendoroid, that was so suddenly announced yesterday out of nowhere hahaha
But I was expecting and looking forward this issue of Anan since last wednesay, when they announced that CLAMP would have featured in an article in this issue, and I see that they had something specific to announce after all, and that it wasn’t just an article about their trajectory as mangakas these past 30 years.
I’ve looked into it since last week on Amazon Japan but the magazine was never available for neither preorder before the release date, nor direct order now that it’s officially out…
I will still check it out the next few days, but I won’t be holding my breath either… these past 7-8 months have probably been by far the most problematic since I started using Amazon Japan almost 15 years ago, due to more and more items not being shipped overseas, and I’m talking only about books and magazines here, meaning the kind of things with no restrictions and no reasons whatsoever not to be shipped 😦
This week’s issue of anan magazine (issue 2230) is announcing that CLAMP will be in charge of the illustrations for a new Haken Anime! spinoff novel series.
The spinoff is entitled Oto to Koe no Bouken (Adventure of Sound and Voice) and will begin serialization two weeks from now, on issue 2232 of anan. The series will be written by the same author as Haken Anime!, Mizuki Tsujimura.
The announcement came in this week’s issue of anan magazine, which also contains a 4-pages recap of CLAMP’s creative trajectory with highlights by Mizuki Tsujimura.
The original Haken Anime! novel was serialized in anan magazine from 2012 to 2014, each chapter featuring a colored illustration drawn by CLAMP. The chapters were compiled and released in book format in 2014. A paperback edition was later released in 2017. In 2019…
This chinese drama of 50 episodes is called The Untamed, and is an adaptation of the 4 volumes BL novel Mo Dao Zu Shi (魔道祖师 ; Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.
It got two donghua series aired in 2018 and 2019 (and a third season is scheduled to be aired in 2020).
There is also a webtoon that is being published online weekly, they reached chapter 100 just today, October 7th! (https://www.kuaikanmanhua.com/web/topic/1749/)
Nonetheless, this post is about the chinese drama!
I devoured all 50 episodes in only a few days and just finished watching episode 50 moments ago. I decided to write about it while it is still fresh in mind, better than wait for a later date when the memory of the feelings I have right now are not as clear as they are now in my heart.
To begin with, I did not discover the series through the drama, I already read most chapters of the webtoon and watched the first season of the anime in 2018 and waited a whole year to watch the 2nd season this summer 2019 (but I’ve been avoiding to watch the last 3 eps, I just don’t want it to end, even while knowing that there is going to be a continuation in 2020…). I also read a few chapters of the novel, but for some reason, I also avoided to read it all, or not even a fraction of it, ok, fine, almost nothing! It’s like I still desperately want to still have things to watch/read…
